LiveJournal Part 8: The last entry

[This post was like a wake up call for me. I believe that God sent that email two weeks ago reminding me of the LiveJournal account for me to read this again after six years. :)]

Tickle.com

Jill, you’re divinely inspired when it comes to Culture!

Get up and go? You’ve got it. You enjoy new experiences and new people because you are inspired by how others view the world. You’re not only curious, you allow for the possibility that there are many ways to approach life. And what better way to find the right path for yourself than by discovering what other cultures admire as art, how they communicate with each other, and what they enjoy as delicacies. After all, it’s the journey that’s important to you, not necessarily the destination.

Since you’re open-minded, you probably enjoy moving from one crowd to another, with equal enthusiasm for all kinds of people. And your natural ability to create a friendly environment for everyone will serve you well wherever your journeys take you. Bon voyage!

[I know it’s only an assessment from one of the surveys I answered back then at Tickle.com, but the words just hit me. After reading the above entry, I immediately grabbed one of my travel magazines, did research in the Internet, and came up with an itinerary for a backpacking trip to Baguio, which I’ll be writing about in a different post… and a different blog. :)]

Holy Week… =)

Hi Journal!

Happy Easter!

The past week was really fun. We went to Mercedes to fetch my cousins and other relatives then we went home to spend the holy week together. At first, we weren’t doing anything since it was soooooo hot that everyone didn’t want to move at all! Then finally, Joey and I played badminton, while my father was in the garden. Mama and the others were in the patio talking to each other. When Joey and I were so tired and sweaty, we went inside to watch T.V. There I discovered a new anime entitled “Chronicle of the Wings” where Sakura and Lee are the lead characters [I like Card Captor Sakura better, though]. After that I took a bath then we ate dinner.

After dinner, my cousins and I watched the movie, “If Only” [I don’t remember the story, but merely reading the title makes my heart long for something]. It was a sad movie, but I didn’t cry. I just said something like “awww”… Afterwards, the Jarviña family went home then my and Joey’s families went to sleep.

The next day after breakfast, we (well it’s more like I) watched the movie “Elf”. Then when Nana and the others arrived, we played Uno Stacko. LJ was already at home at this time. After lunch, almost everyone went to sleep, but papa and I played badminton. Then later on we ate merienda. After eating, Joey and I played badminton. We just stopped playing when mama announced that there was ice cream. Papa and I played badminton again [gee, I liked badminton this much?] after cooling up with the ice cream. Afterwards, papa and Joey were the ones playing (since I was already tired). I took a bath then Nana, Joey, & I played cards until after dinner. Then Nana and the others went home after a fun filled day together.

The following day, Saturday, we brought Joey and the others back to Mercedes. Then mama, papa, and I went to Market! Market! We ate at Heaven & Eggs [I miss this restaurant!] then we watched Ice Age 2 [we watched Ice Age 4 on TV last week! Cool, after 6 years that movie reached a fourth part and it’s still hilarious!]. When we were home, we went to Chesca’s [Now who is Chesca? Uh-oh, I don’t recall! XD] debut. We swam, we ate, and then we went home and slept.

All in all, it was a fun Holy Week. Why? Because I spent time with my family…and nothing can be better than that.

Surprise, Surprise!!

Hey Journal it’s me again!

I’m just going to tell you my plan for my father’s birthday. [my plan? this was mama’s idea, not mine! Unfortunately, we were not able to do it… YET. :)]

You see, my father is fond of taking pictures and he’s got plenty of wonderful photos that can absolutely win a competition. So on his birthday, I’m planning to surprise him with an exhibit of all the breathtaking shots he made.

The only problem is, I’m sure it’s going to be soooooooooooooooooooo expensive and I don’t know where to get the money. Here are the expenses that I see:

1. Printing of all photos

2. Frames for each photo

3. Rental of exhibit venue- maybe I can just do it at home?

4. Miscellaneous

Gee, where can I get the money? hmmmm…

Oh well, gotta think of it first.

See ‘ya tomorrow Journal!

And then there was light…! (where? where?! Oh there it is!!) =P

Hi Journal!

My mom and I went to UP this morning to enroll me in archery. Then we went to Manila Seedling and she bought lots of beautiful flowers! I can’t wait to see all of them propagate in the garden. =P
Later, mama and I will go out in the garden to fix the flowers. haha… sounds like fun!

Anyway, I’ve deleted my physics and friendster blogs already since I no longer find the time to update them. =P

This Thursday, my cousins and other relatives are staying for the Holy Week. You know what Journal? Religion is very hard for me. I’m confused. Since I was small, I’ve always believed in Him. Now that I’m growing, I think I’m becoming a skeptic (is that the right word?).
I’m starting to doubt Him already, but a part of me says He’s true. I’m also considering practicing Buddhism. I think I got all this “DOUBT” thing from my father since his a heretic. But whether He’s real or not, I’ll respect Him and all His followers. Hey! Maybe I can be a Catholic/ Buddhist [I am now. :)]. =D

Religion is quite confusing for me [religion has confused me for more than half of my life. This too, makes my life exciting.] On the other hand, maybe I’m just confusing myself! Yeah! I’m confusing myself! Wahhh! Help! =O

To be or not to be… what? =O

Hi Journal!

I really want to go to school again. This June, I’ll be studying at the University of the Philippines! Geez! I still don’t know what course I’m taking since the university is still checking what degree program has an avialable slot. Anyway, I’m really glad that I made it in UP (barely made it though! DPWS! whew!) I’m happy because there’s archery in this university! [archery was the only reason I took the UPCAT. I wasn’t aware then of the whole “Iskolar ng Bayan” thing.]

This summer (hopefully) I’m taking up archery in UP [I did! Yay!]. Next summer (if my father is serious on what he said) I’m going to learn how to fly a plane [I took up scuba diving instead. No regrets. :)]. I think papa’s going to enroll me in a flying school at Clark, Pampanga. How exciting! But if there’s an interview, I don’t know how to answer this question, “Why do you want to be a pilot?” I have to start thinking about it now… [since then, I’ve never wanted interviews]

The summer after next year, I want to take up ice skating [i took up flute instead. No regrets too. :)]. Although my body is not too flexible for figure skating, I’ll try it out! nyahaha! I want to live my life to the fullest. That’s why I’m going to try out the things that I’m dreaming to do (like flying a plane, & ice skating) even though it sounds hard.

Ok Journal… see ‘ya tomorrow!

LiveJournal: Dream BIG!

April 6, 2006

What I want to be someday…

Hi journal! I’m back!

Today I’m going to tell you about my dreams/ ambitions. I’m going to list them:

1. Scientist- my dad asked me one time, “what type of scientist do you want to be?” I said I wanted to be a chemist. Then he asked, “why do you want to be a chemist?” I pondered on this question. I told him because it’s very interesting. It seemed that he wasn’t satisfied with my answer. Gee, even I don’t know why I want to be a chemist now [6 years later I’m still asking myself what I want to do in life. This question makes my life so exciting. :)]. Whenever I ask myself, I just say, “because I want to be one.” Now it seems that I’m going to be an engineer instead of a chemist. But anyway, an engineer is still a scientist! [of course now I know that an engineer is not a scientist! hehe. And who would have thought that I would be studying how to be both a scientist and an engineer (I’m studying Materials Science & Engineering)]

2. Pilot- now here’s another high ambition. I’m still thinking about it. Five years from now, after I graduate college, let’s see if I’ll enter aviation school. Watch out world! I’m gonna be a pilot someday! I’m gonna fly that plane! Yeah! (gee, that’s what I call affirmation!) [haha, and I can’t even drive a car properly today!]

3. Archery & Ice Skating- These are the two sports that I’m most interested in. I’ll learn them. You’ll see! [These two are still close to my heart. :)]

4. Bookstore- I’m going to establish my own National Bookstore or Powerbooks or Fullybooked. I’m going to name it Bookworm’s Place. Maybe I’ll do this when I know how to run a business already. When I’m ready. [Oh my, oh my! I remember making calling cards for Bookworm’s Place as well as a rough list of books that I want in my store. I still have this bookstore dream until now, but during my stay in the temple I came up with another name (Pahina atbp. Bookshop) and I’ve sold a couple of books already! It’s not selling fast, but I’m still selling especially when I need money. haha. Oh, and I also have calling cards for Pahina atbp. Bookshop as well. And a logo too! :P]

5. NASA- I told myself before “If I’m not working at NASA, I’m building my own NASA here in the Philippines!” Now, I can see that it’s absolutely easier said than done. It’s a very high ambition again. But as they say, “Don’t put limits to yourself” Whew! We’ll see… [I think I took the saying, “dream BIG!” quite seriously back in 2006. :D]

6. Hamster- I want to take care of a hamster. nyahaha!!! I’m buying one- soon! I’m going to name it “hamster”. nyahahaha!! nice, huh?
The only problem is that the cage is sooo expensive. I still don’t know about the food, though. [I never bought a hamster. haha.]

Well journal, my eyes are getting tired. I’ll continue this some other time.

See ‘ya!

LiveJournal Part 2: The First Entry

April 6, 2006

It’s summer time, and the living is easy…?

hi journal! I’m Jill. =P

I’m not really used having a journal, but I read in The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens that I should start writing my own journal. So here it is! I’m not going to be surprised though if I stop updating this after a few months or weeks. It’s always like that for me (at least for now). I start a blog or site, then I just end up not updating anymore. nyahaha! [I’ve improved! I update my blog now, hooray!]

Anyway, I’ll think up of something useful to do with this journal other than, well, being a journal! Quite confusing, huh?

Hahaha… don’t mind me… haha. [Gee, I sound so happy here! XD]

By the way, it’s so hot here! It’s summer!
